The event is limited to 125 cars built 1976 and before, and the $25 vehicle Entry Fee will be donated to Hope Women’s Center, which will be running the registration booth. Founded by Tammy Abernathy, the Center has five locations in the Valley to assist abused women and their children.
General admission for the public is free.
Citroen, on its 100th anniversary, is the featured marque and Arizona Citroen Enthusiasts (ACE) will be the honored guests. A newly restored 1953 Traction Avant from the French carmaker will be one of the showcased classics.
Two Best of Shows will be presented, one for a Citroen and one for the best overall car as judged by 20 young people selected by the event’s main sponsor, Hagerty Insurance Agency, one of the country’s leading collector car insurance companies.
“Hagerty is proud to partner with the Camelback Motor Show to help drive the passion for collector vehicles forward and ensure the future of the collector car hobby,” says Sam Power, Regional Territory Manager – Arizona, for, the Traverse City, Michigan-based company.
A lounge will be available for Hagerty Driver’s Club members, where they can relax and will receive giveaways.
As a sponsor, Hagerty will have a booth as well as Highline Autos magazine and Camelback Bible Church. A food truck, Marcel’s Authentic Belgian Waffles, will be on site.
“This show has been developed to bring cars and community together and to share the rich history of the automobile with the community, involve children of all ages in these great works of rolling art and to bring renewed hope to a segment of our community that is often unseen and unheard — abused women and children,” says the event’s founder, West Kenyon.
“The backdrop of this year’s show, only the second to be held in the town of Paradise Valley, is none other than majestic Camelback Mountain. Thanks to our gracious host, Camelback Bible Church, for opening their beautiful campus for this inaugural show.”
